This policy defines the ownership of intellectual property created during Webility SRL/BV ("Webility") client engagements. It applies to all projects and is incorporated by reference into all Webility client agreements.
1. Core Principle
You own what you paid for, once you've paid for it.
Intellectual property created specifically for your project transfers to you upon receipt of full payment. Webility's pre-existing tools, methodologies, and frameworks remain Webility's property but are licensed to you for use in your project.
2. What Transfers to the Client
Upon receipt of full payment, Webility assigns to the client all intellectual property rights in the following project-specific deliverables:

"Full payment" means all invoices related to the project have been settled, including outstanding balances, change orders, and expenses.
3. What Webility Retains
The following remain the property of Webility and are licensed (not transferred) to the client:

4. Third-Party Assets
Some projects include third-party assets (stock photography, fonts, plugins, icon libraries). These are licensed separately:

Webility documents all third-party assets used in the project handover report.
5. Before Full Payment
Before full payment is received:
- All deliverables remain the property of Webility
- The client may not publish, reproduce, or transfer any deliverables without Webility's written consent
- Webility may use work-in-progress for internal review and quality purposes
6. Portfolio Rights
Webility reserves the right to display completed work in its portfolio, website, social media, and marketing materials, unless the client requests confidentiality in writing before project commencement.
The client may request confidentiality for projects involving proprietary business processes, unreleased products, or any situation where public association with Webility would be commercially sensitive.
7. Moral Rights
Under Belgian law, authors retain moral rights in their work. Webility's team members waive their right to attribution in client-facing deliverables to the extent permitted by law, enabling you to publish and modify the work freely.
8. AI-Generated Content
Where Webility uses AI tools in the creation of deliverables, it does so in compliance with our AI Use Policy. The use of AI tools does not affect the IP ownership provisions above — the assignment of rights applies to all deliverables regardless of the tools used to create them.
